What if the day you trust God is also the day you are afraid? In Psalm 56, the singer is watched, threatened, and misquoted. The prayer says “I place my Security in You” without pretending that fear has disappeared. John, Ramona, and Paula follow the Psalm’s movement from danger to its tender center: God counts the wanderings and holds the tears. Praying with Jesus, we ask for real needs, receive the Spirit’s assurance of belonging, and seek light for one ordinary step of life. Fear can be spoken in the same prayer as trust.
