Prayers that Bring Us Home

Psalm 52: When Words Swallow Lives

Episode Summary

A single report to Saul leads to the killing of priests. Psalm 52 refuses to treat words as harmless. It names a tongue like a razor, the false Security of wealth, and the lives left wounded by deceit. Then the singer says, “But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the House of God.” John, Ramona, and Paula pray with Jesus for truthful shelter, for the power to harm to end, and for the Spirit’s assurance that our belonging is held by God’s Persistent-Love even while we wait.
