Prayers that Bring Us Home

Psalm 47: When the Lowly Rise

Episode Summary

Psalm 46 heard the nations roar. Psalm 47 calls all peoples to clap and sing. John, Ramona, and Paula follow the tension from Psalm 2’s defiant rulers to the leaders of the peoples gathering before God. They let the difficult line about nations “beneath our feet” weigh, then pray the song with Jesus, whose Kingdom lifts the lowly and welcomes people from many nations. The brick towers of oppression become an image of roads home. Even when joy feels far away, you do not have to sing your way into belonging. The Spirit of Adoption meets you as a child of God before you find your voice.
