Psalm 43 begins with a plea for Justice from someone walking through deceit and mourning. The singer calls God a refuge and, in the next breath, asks why God seems to have cast them away. “Send out Your light and Your truth. Let them lead me.” John, Ramona, and Paula pray this continuation of Psalm 42 with Jesus, who knows unjust accusation and calls himself the Light, the Way, and the Truth. The Psalm ends with hope spoken to a Being still bowed down. You can ask for the next true step before you can feel joy returning.
